Iknow LLC was selected by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) to conduct a State Mandated Performance Audit in accordance with Chapter 165, Subchapter J, Section 452.454, of the Texas Transportation Code. The purpose of the Performance Audit is to provide evaluative information necessary for the performance of oversight functions by state and local officers and provide information to the Authority to assist in the making of changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Authority’s operations. The focus of this audit is statutory compliance with applicable laws, the calculation and analysis of key performance measures, and an assessment and recommendations for improving the maintenance function.
The project began in mid-June.

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is a regional transportation authority in the State of Texas. It was organized to provide public and general transportation services to 13 cities in five counties: Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, and Rockwall. It operates buses, light rail, commuter rail, and high-occupancy vehicle lanes. With the extension of the Orange Line to DFW Airport station at DFW Airport on August 18, 2014, DART is the largest light rail operator in the United States, with 90 miles (144.8 km) of track.
