Scott Leeb, an Engagement Director at Iknow LLC, presented a webinar, titled “Serving the Prince on a Pauper's Budget,” to the Special Librarian’s Association’s Competitive Intelligence Division on November 17, 2015. During the hour-long session, Leeb spoke about how competitive intelligence functions could address the problem of operating in a resource-constrained environment. Specifically, he outlined several practical tips that competitive intelligence (CI) professionals could employ to stretch their resources and maximize their impact in their organizations. These tips included managing expectations, avoiding anonymity, finding a champion, leveraging resources, and focusing on production. He also presented a roadmap of activities that should be followed.
Leeb drew on his experience creating, managing, and growing the competitive intelligence functions at four Fortune 500 companies over the past 15 years.
More than 400 people from around the world attended the webinar.
